Denton Ladies Civitan to present
I AM WOMAN event July 23
Mark your calendars now for an upcoming special event, I AM WOMAN, presented by Denton Ladies Civitan on Thursday, July 23.
The event will be held at the Central UMC Hut/Activity Building and will include a luncheon, fashion show, games, shopping, door prizes, a raffle, a comedy club and a guest speaker.
The schedule for I AM WOMAN is as follows:
9:30-11 a.m.: Doors open - you may use this time as social time, play bridge, checkers, dominos, Scrabble, shop, etc. Please bring your own cards/games.
11 a.m.: Guest speaker Amy Jo Wood, Marketing Director/Our State Magazine. Her presentation will be on OUR STATE AND NORTH CAROLINA TRAVEL. She’ll even sing the “Butter Bean Song.”
12 noon: Buffet lunch
1:15 p.m.: Fashion show - Clothing furnished by TSR Sweater Outlet and Ladies Apparel; lovely Denton Ladies will serve as models.
Following the fashion show, a drawing will be held for door prizes. The grand finale of the day will be a Comedy Club presentation.
Raffle tickets will be available for All Season Gifts and will be drawn throughout the day beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Advance tickets for I AM WOMAN are now available at a cost of $15.00. Each ticket comes with a chance to win a door prize. Only a few tickets are left, so hurry and get yours from any Civitan member or by calling Barbara Judy at 859-9612. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Denton Library.
