Denton Lions Club recently presented checks to South Davidson Southern 60 and the South Davidson Family Resource Center. This completed a pledge for South Davidson School athletic facilities. The final $1,500 donation brought the Lions’ total donation to $15,004.00 for fencing around Briggs Stadium. Included in the pledge was the club’s listing on the Southern 60 board since 2001 plus income from Shrimp Boil events since April of 2004.
Denton Lions will continue to support South Davidson athletics on the Southern 60 board. The twice-yearly Shrimp Boil will continue with profits pledged to the Denton Library expansion.
